Help Me Grow

    What is Help Me Grow?

    Help Me Grow is a national model for promoting cross-sector collaboration to build efficient and effective early identification and intervention systems for families and communities. The Help Me Grow Model helps  communities leverage existing resources to advance an integrated, cross-sector system that:

    • Promotes the optimal development of all young children;
    • Helps identify concerns and needs among families with young children;
    • Links families to community-based resources;
    • Works in partnership with families by prioritizing parent and caregiver goals for their children’s well-being; and
    • Follows-up with families as well as their service and health care providers to ensure a synergistic approach to support.

    First launched in Connecticut in 1997 by pediatrician, Dr. Paul Dworkin, Help Me Grow has since been replicated across the country. As of 2022, there are 119 HMG systems operating within 28 affiliate states and Washington D.C.
